President’s Welcome

Dear #Seaford99 Community,

Our 51st Season saw 208 Little Athletes compete week after week with smiles on their faces and the promise of a PB or some sour straps in their hearts.

I want to thank my fellow 2024-25 Committee Members for their continued support of our Centre and our Community. Although there have been challenges, I believe we have worked together to create solutions that benefit everyone.

This season has seen lots and lots of our regular volunteers step in to the roles that they have made their own over the years and I want to thank each and every one of them for their continued support and guidance. It’s a balancing act ensuring that the voices of the past 50 years compliment the voices of the next 50, however, its vital that we allow the next generation of Athletes, Volunteers and Committee Members the space and support they need to grow our Centre into it’s potential.

Our Summer Seaford Open Day competition was a tremendous success and a shining example of what we are capable of when we all work together. Thank you to each and every one of you who turned up to your duty on time, raked a pit, retrieved a discus, baked some goodies, fried some chips, marshalled the athletes, and provided support to the athletes and their families who trusted us on the day.

We also had the opportunity to join with our local neighbouring clubs Frankston LAC /Chelsea LAC & Mornington LAC to hold our Winter Cross Country & Winter Race Walking Season as Peninsula Cross Country for the 1st time which was a huge success. While we understand many of our athletes compete in other sports over the Winter break as a summer athlete your membership also includes the Cross Country season so it is a full year membership for our athletes.

We look forward to welcoming you all back for the new 2025/26 Summer Season.
