Track and Field is set to begin on the 5th of October with more information to come.
At Seaford Little Athletics we are a local community club that provides an environment to build the fundamental skills and confidence which are a foundation of many sports. We encourage all our athletes to have fun, encourage and celebrate personal bests all while making new friendships along the way. Each week the athletes participate in a range of Little Athletics events for ages 5-17yrs. All abilities are welcome to join.
Our Summer season is due to commence on Saturday 05 October and will run until the end of March. We also include in our yearly membership an optional Cross Country season between April - August. Our Summer Competition is held on a grass track at Riviera Reserve, Eel Race Road in Seaford.
Weekly competitions are held mostly on Saturday mornings from 8.30 am until around 10.30 am -11 am (finish time can vary a little) and on long weekends and a few other weeks we run a Friday night competition instead from 6 pm.
Summer Season Training/Coaching is included in your membership (optional too all members & trial athletes) on
Tuesday (4.45 pm-5.30 pm) for Under 6 & Under 7's
Tuesday (5.30 pm-6.30 pm) General Training open to U8's upwards (variety of events offered incl Throws/Racewalk under the guidance of our club coaches)
Wednesday (5.00 pm-6.00 pm) Structured Training with Coach Cliff for U8's upwards ( running and jumps)
The cost is very reasonable as we are a volunteer-based club, and parents do need to be prepared to assist in a small way each week. The Annual membership fee is $189 (discounted for 2 or more children) plus there is a Uniform top to be purchased for $35 once you decide to become a financial member.

Consistent numbers over recent years have enabled Seaford to build up a community of families who are enthusiastic and enjoy fitness in a fun environment. The Centre proudly boasts one of the best retention rates over recent seasons in the Southern region.

REGISTERED ATHLETES - We encourage you to come to the Clubrooms to pick up your Commonwealth Bank Patches and Uniforms and for parents/guardians to select duties for the Season.
REGISTERED TRIAL ATHLETES - Come and meet the Committee, have all your questions answered and get the lay of the land with some quick demos on the events themselves.

Extreme Weather Conditions
Should the weather conditions be considered extreme, the Committee will convene to make a decision regarding the day's program as early as possible to provide enough notice to our community. The decision will be communicated via Facebook and email.
The decision to compete or not compete is never an easy decision to make, but at all times the safety of the Little Athletes are paramount. Parents are encouraged to make an independent decision regarding whether their children will participate or not.
We will advise if Little Athletics has been cancelled only, not that it is going ahead as scheduled. If there has been no public announcement, competition is running. If the weather deteriorates after this time, then we will make a decision as and when required.
