Annual President’s Report 2024-25 Season ahead.

A Message from President: Catherine Laird

Welcome and thank you for joining us for another Season of Little Athletics at Riviera Reserve. Whether this is your 1st year with us, or your last, we are sure glad to have you in our #Seaford99 Community.

This coming season is my first as President and I'm both exhilarated and a little nervous about what’s to come. But there have been many great Presidents before me, and I look forward to continuing the great work that they have started.

The Season ahead is set to be lots of fun, with many opportunities for our Little Athletes to compete, both at Centre level and Open Days with other clubs and athletes, as well as Region and State events if they so desire. Representing our Centre in the Yellow and Black is a great way to further your Little Athletic Journey, and you will have no shortage of cheering from our Community when you do.

But its not all about Athletics. Our Fundraising Committee have lots of fun ideas for the Season to help our Community get to know each other better, away from the hustle and bustle of the track, so make sure you keep an eye on our Socials for that information.

Personal Bests will continue to be the focus for the 2024-25 Track and Field Season. While our athletes love to cross the finish line first, we encourage everyone to emphasize beating their own time or distance. After all, when they do, they WIN every time, right?

My focus this Season will be to support my fellow Committee Members in the roles that they have taken on and I remind everyone that none of us are paid employees, or experts in our roles. Some have been on the Committee for several years and some, this is their first year. Our focus, always, is to provide a safe and inclusive environment that is also an enjoyable one for our Community, with the hopes that you want to come back week after week, season after season.

So, with all that being said, let’s make Season 2024-25 one to remember.
